India is currently the largest importer of vegetable oils in the world and has an economy characterized by a strong dynamism, which is developing the demand for high quality food . 30 million euro is the value of the 4 million tons of olive oil of the total imports from Italy in the beginning of 2010. A quarter of the imports is represented by extra virgin olive oil and, compared to 2008, in 2009, imports from Italy increased by 25%. This is the demand the consortium IOO% high quality Italian wants to intercept trying to expand the market in India through an education towards high quality.
