The European Court of Auditors examined the four main draft regulations presented by the Commission and publishes today its opinion on these texts
(Opinion No 1/2012). The Court recognises the efforts made by the Commission to simplify the provisions of the CAP and to address a number of observations made by the Parliament, the Council and the Court. However, the Court considers that the legislative framework of this policy remains too complex. For example, six distinct layers of rules govern rural development expenditure. With respect to cross compliance, the Court considers that, in spite of the proposed reorganisation, the complexity of this policy continues to make it difficult for paying agencies and beneficiaries to administer.

The 15th of March the Minister of agriculture food and forestry policies met with the Eu Commissioner of fishery. The meeting was focused on issues such as: reform of the common fishery policy, support to fishermen, legal tools necessary to guarantee the impartiality for those who fish in our waters, the tools necessary to favour acquaculture.

The new Pac should pormote production and focus on farmers and farms. This declared the Minister of agriculture Saverio Romano, intervening at the Council of the Ministers of agriculture and fishery held the 20th of October in Luxemburg, concerning the proposal on the new Cap, presented by the Commission.

Fino al 2013 la Pac non prevede ulteriori cambiamenti, ma con il recente varo da parte della Commissione europea della proposta di riforma, diventa quanto mai opportuno e rilevante comprendere le linee della prossima programmazione 2014-2020. Se ne parlerà il 20 ottobre alla Facoltà di Agraria di Perugia.
