The current crisis shows a clear fact: we must defend agriculture and its values not only the economic ones. Our country’s agriculture rests on solid foundations, the National Atlas has over 4500 local products, and the work of our farmers, guardians of tradition and the identity of our products, the pride of the made in Italy worldwide. The specific landscape features and the environmental characteristics of individual areas are the ones that give to the Italian products that unique taste and quality that are appreciated everywhere. Specificities that are touristic attractions that the whole world envies us and make a trip in Italy a walk on the road of excellent food and wine, and a discovery of its millenarian history.
The food and wine tourism is one of the hottest sectors of tourism and agriculture proves to be a unique tourism resource that can enhance, protect and defend an area and its traditions.
