Fa discutere una recente decisone presa dal Consiglio di Stato francese che ha revocato l’autorizzazione a usare il pesticida CRUISER 350. In sostanza la decisione dà ragione ad alcune associazioni di apicoltori che avevano espresso la loro preoccupazione sugli effetti che tale prodotto avrebbe avuto sulle loro api.

Ha preso ufficialmente il via con una convenzione tre il CRA e il Ministero dell'agricoltura (Mipaaf), BeeNet, un progetto per monitorare la salute delle api in Italia direttamente sul campo e per far fronte alle drammatiche emergenze di mortalità che hanno caratterizzato gli alveari. Il progetto creerà una rete di monitoraggio nazionale estesa e capillare che metterà in connessione quasi 4mila colonie, come vere e proprie centraline biologiche, su tutto il territorio italiano. Inoltre BeeNet permetterà agli apicoltori di segnalare facilmente le morìe di api e di attivare rapidamente una Squadra di pronto intervento apistico.
